Indent with Spaces: Uses spaces for indentation.

Indent with Tabs: Uses tab characters for indentation.

Custom Indent: Uses your specified character(s) for indentation.

Hanging Indent: When this option is checked, only the second and following lines of each paragraph will be indented. The first line stays at the left, while the rest are pushed to the right using your chosen indent size and type. This is useful for formatting things like reference lists or citations. To see the hanging indent in action, your paragraph must have real line breaks. Just wrapping text in the box doesn’t count
